Theracurmin is a turmeric preparation that utilizes polysaccharide colloidal dispersion technology to enhance bioavailability and dramatically increase curcumin levels in the blood. This is the first water soluble turmeric product, which absorbs in the brush border and does not depend on fat digestion of lipids or other functions of a compromised GI tract; therefore, it absorbs quickly to begin reducing pain within 15 minutes. It is often used at the beginning of patient visits to demonstrate speed and efficacy. The patented delivery matrix also slows the metabolism of the curcumin out of the body so that the half-life of Theracurmin is 2 days, making it ideal for chronic pain and inflammation since half the total pills per day are required for reduction of CRPs, ESR, and fibrinogen.  Unlike mega-dose lipid turmeric formulas in large softgels that cause heartburn, Theracurmin is in small capsules and very well tolerated even in the most sensitive GI patients.
