Clinical Services

For more than thirty years, we have specialized in creating innovative and integrative treatment programs for complex medical problems, those for which neither an exclusively western nor eastern approach is enough. Specifically, we aim for a truly optimal, comprehensive, no-stone-left-unturned, pull-out-all-the-stops traditional Chinese medical health care.

APPOINTMENT REQUESTS
To request an appointment, please call Louise Estupinian at (415) 485-0484 or email her by clicking here.

The following information applies only to appointments with Michael Broffman. For other practitioners at Pine Street, please contact us.

PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION
Every protocol created is specifically designed for you and so it is helpful to have time to study information about you and your health background prior to your first visit.

Once you have a confirmed appointment, please gather and return the following in advance of your visit:

» A list of the things you’re specifically wanting to discuss during your appointment, including questions you may have or decisions you’re needing to make.

» Copies of most recent medical records, such as reports from your doctor including those from surgeries, prior treatments (such as chemotherapy or radiation), recent blood tests, X-rays, CAT scans, MRIs, and PET scans. Digital copies on CD are fine (original films are not necessary). If you are seeing (or have recently seen) any complementary or alternative practitioners, their report would also be useful, if available.

» Details about who you’re currently working with and what treatments you’re currently doing or are planning to do.

» List of all medications, herbs, supplements, and over the counter pharmaceuticals you are currently or have recently taken. Please include current dosage.

» Biographical information, such as your own personal summary of your health history, including how you’re feeling, what has worked and what has not, and various challenges and successes with your treatment you’ve encountered. Please include any information you think is important or that you feel may have contributed to your current medical situation.

» Details about your current diet, weight, exercise regimen, and stress level.

Your medical information is always treated with complete confidentiality.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR VISIT

At your consultation, we allocate ninety minutes for you so that there will be no hurry or need to rush. This will give you an opportunity for your questions to be answered, documents to be reviewed, and for opinions and analysis to be offered.

You are welcome to bring a family member, companion, or friend along for your consultation visit.

AFTER YOUR VISIT

Following our consultation, your case will be reviewed and recommendations will be typed up. This will be sent to you by mail, email, or fax.

This typed document often includes a treatment protocol, a list of items to investigate, specialists to contact, follow-up tests to consider, diet recommendations, and other information we believe will be useful to you.

After you receive your notes, Louise may contact you to see if you have any questions about them and to discuss if or when a follow-up appointment might be suggested.

FEE
Initial consultation: $350
Payment (cash or check only) is due at the time of your visit.
